Having experienced first-hand the positive impacts of Pilates in her personal pursuits in sports and ballet, Dorcas finds no greater joy than to share her knowledge and passion with individuals who are seeking to enhance their quality of movement; and improve their athletic performance. She is firm and exacting when necessary, but compassionate and approachable always.
Eve’s dance background has made her believe that precision brings about better quality in movement. This philosophy of teaching has helped Eve’s students to experience results in their performance and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge of the work and joy in movement with more people!
In 2009, she started practicing Pilates to complement her yoga practice. She completed a Pilates matwork course with iPilates in 2010 to gain deeper understanding. However, a busy schedule led her Pilates practice to pause for nearly two years, when she accumulated various injuries from her body’s physical imbalances which she never experienced before. Since then, Pilates has become an integral part of her lifestyle, alongside yoga and rock climbing.
After experiencing how practicing Pilates rid her of knee pain and hip pain, Jane fell in love with it and was determined to become a Pilates teacher. She was a Secondary School teacher and she loved her craft. She began sharing about movement, generating appreciation of alignment, and growing confidence in her students.
