A recipient of the Georgette Chen Arts Scholarship awarded by National Arts Council (Singapore), Alycia graduated with a Diploma in Dance with Distinction from Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts in year 2002. She is also a Royal Academy of Dance (UK) registered ballet teacher, with a Certificate of Higher Education in Dance Teaching from University of Surrey (United Kingdom).
A dancer herself, Alycia started Pilates with the belief it is an effective body conditioning program that enhance the posture and body alignment. Pilates helped her to develop a strong core, gain muscular strength and flexibility to hone her skills in dance.
As she delved deeper, it reinforced her belief of Pilates as an effective body conditioning that not only improves a person’s physical well-being but also builds inner confidence. She started introducing Pilates to her dance students to help them improve their dance performance. Alycia enjoys teaching and sharing her passion with everyone.
