Looking for Pilates Near Me? Here’s Where to Train in Singapore’s City Centre

May 19, 2025

Before I became a Pilates teacher, I was a marketing person. You know the type. Long hours in advertising, hunched over a laptop, sitting in meetings… a typical working professional. To prevent being inactive and sedentary, I took up Pilates.

My office was at Stanley Street, right in the heart of the CBD. I was lucky that Pilates BodyTree’s first studio was just two streets away at 99 Amoy Street. That’s where I discovered BodyTree teachers. At that time, PBT still had group classes!

After trying workouts and Pilates classes from other gyms and studios, I realised how good the Pilates teachers were at PBT. Their level of instruction was just different. Even in group classes, they were more focused, more precise, more intentional.

And so eventually, PBT was where my journey as a teacher began.

Fast forward to today: we now run three fully-equipped studios around central Singapore, and I meet people just like my old self every day — professionals, parents, and older adults looking for a more tailored, supportive approach to movement.

If you’ve found this post searching for “Pilates near me”, here’s where — and why — to start with us.

Why Private Pilates, Though?

Let’s be real. Group classes are fine (and much more affordable!) if you just want to move and sweat. But if you’re dealing with stiffness, back pain, poor posture, and not getting the results you want, you really need to understand your body better, and private Pilates classes is where the magic happens.

Private PT sessions give you:

  • Tailored programming for your body and goals
  • More attention and hands-on guidance
  • A safe, supportive space to build strength and mobility (without the pressure of keeping up with others)

You won’t find cookie-cutter routines here. We observe your movements, meet you where you’re at, and help you build from there.

Where to Find Us (If You’re Working or Living in Central SG)

Our studios are all MRT- and bus-friendly. Plus, they’re easy to reach by car and even have parking nearby (yes, even in Orchard). Here’s a breakdown of what’s near you:

Chinatown Studio — Near Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar, Telok Ayer, and Downtown

Pilates Studio at Chinatown Point

📍 South Bridge Road

Perfect if you work in the CBD or want a session before lunch or dinner. MRT options galore – of course, we’re just right on top of Chinatown MRT, but Telok Ayer, Raffles Place, and Downtown MRTs are all walkable.

This one feels like coming full circle for me. It’s just minutes away from our Amoy studio — the place where I first fell in love with Pilates.

Orchard Studio — Near Somerset, River Valley, and Great World

Orchard Studio @ Far East Shopping Centre

📍 Far East Shopping Centre

Ideal for residents around Orchard, River Valley, or anyone who’s popped over to Great World to “just buy groceries” and ended up with bags from Our Second Nature.

It’s a quiet escape just off the buzz of the main areas of Orchard Road. Private and peaceful — great for focused movement and proper breathing space.

Novena Studio — Near United Square, Newton, Thomson

Pilates Studio at United Square

📍 United Square

Great for those working around the area, older adults, parents doing school runs, or those recovering from injuries or surgery. The United Square area is surprisingly calm (once you get into the building), just a short walk from Novena MRT and medical facilities nearby.

Many of our long-time clients come here after getting physio or osteo referrals, and stay because they see real changes in how they move and feel.

If You’re Thinking, “Private Pilates Near Me Sounds Good, But How Do I Start?”

Simple:

  1. Book a trial — come in, try a session, chat with a teacher.
  2. Get assessed — we’ll check how you move and what you need.
  3. Start your personal plan — one that makes sense for your body and your schedule.

No fluff. No pressure. Just clear, helpful support from experienced teachers I work alongside, learn with and respect.

When I think back to my office-worker self, rushing from meetings and trying to sneak in a Pilates session between deadlines, I’m so glad I found teachers who actually saw my imbalances and could help me work through them.

Now I get to do that for others. If you’re searching for “private Pilates near me”, know that we’re here — right in the neighbourhoods you work, live, and move through daily — ready to help you feel stronger, freer, and more in control of your body. And if we’re not exactly “near” to you, ask yourself, is finding out whether going to the Home of the Best Pilates Teachers in Asia worth the distance? Singapore’s a tiny island!

Come by. We’ll move better together.
